Farmers Market Every Tuesday From June - October

The Village of Montgomery will be hosting their first Farmers Market next Tuesday, June 1st. The Farmers Market will take place in Founders Plaza in front of the Village Hall at 200 North River Street in Montgomery every Tuesday thereafter, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., from June 1st to October 5th, 2010.

There will be a good selection of vendors at the first market of the season with the number growing as the season progresses. Vendors will offer locally grown fresh produce, baked goods and other fresh food items.

According to the USDA, the Village of Montgomery’s Market is one of the approximately 4,800 in the country and 282 in Illinois. Montgomery is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year and the Farmers Market is an excellent way to honor history and promote community.
