The Business Climate Enhancement Committee of the MEDC, Montgomery Economic Development Corporation would like to announce their First Breakfast Meeting of 2010.   The event is structured around providing tools and incentives to help businesses grow and prosper during these tough economic times.

The Committee has lined up an impressive list of speakers who will provide information on numerous State, Local, Federal and County Programs. The event will begin in the Community room with a Continental Breakfast. Participants will have the opportunity to network with the Speakers, before and after the Program.

Scheduled speakers include:

• A warm welcome from Village President Marilyn Michelini

• ComEd: Mr. Steve Baab,  New incentives and smart ideas to address the cost of energy.

Waubonsee Community College:  Lesa Norris,  Workforce Development and the Small Business Development Center.

• Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity: Joseph P. McKeown /Michelle Michals will speak on various programs offered by the state including grants, tax credits and any new incentives or changes brought in through administration.

• IMEC: Mr. Rob McCann will speak on ways the IMEC has helped several local firms and opportunities he can share under the Susan Harwood Grant.

• UIRVDA: Andrew Hamilton will talk about the new funding resources brought in under the recovery zone act. Andrew has a wealth of information concerning various bond resources which can help developers as well as business owners who previously did not have access to these funds.

• Village of Montgomery: Jane K. Tompkins will speak on the revolving loan funds available through the Village.
